Goldfields Cycle Sports inc was created with the aim of giving back to the Central Victorian Cycling Community, by retired professional cyclist Ross Forster. The Club intends to help fund resources for the Central Victorian race, recreational and commuter cycling communities, including youth development, promotion and talent identification
Café Velo was opened on the 23rd of August 2018 in the Iconic City Family Hotel building, in conjunction with the opening of the Goldfields Cycle Sports Club.

The City Family Hotel building has been an Iconic part of Bendigo’s landscape since 1872 and was designed by well known architect, William Vahland. Odds are someone you know has a story about the Hotel, they or someone they know worked, drank, partied upstairs in the nightclub or got married here. We look forward to making lasting memories with you for another 150 years
